VENUE RULES & EXPECTATIONS

To ensure every event at Valessa Event Center is safe, enjoyable, and beautifully executed, all clients and guests must adhere to the following venue rules and expectations. These policies are designed to protect our venue, our clients, and the overall guest experience.

GENERAL VENUE RULES 

  • All events must conclude by the agreed-upon end time stated in the contract. Overtime fees will apply for any unauthorized extended use.

  • The maximum capacity of the venue is 80 guests. This number may not be exceeded under any circumstances.

  • All guests must behave in a respectful and orderly manner at all times.

  • The client is fully responsible for the conduct of all guests and vendors.

  • Valessa Event Center reserves the right to remove any guest who is causing disturbances, safety issues, or violations of venue policy.

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the venue.

FOOD & CATERING POLICIES

  • In-house catering is available through Valessa Event Center.

  • Outside catering and desserts are permitted.

  • All outside food must arrive ready-to-serve.

  • No cooking, reheating, or food preparation is allowed onsite unless pre-approved in writing.

  • All outside food vendors must comply with local health regulations.

  • Valessa Event Center staff is not responsible for handling or serving outside food.

ALCOHOL & BAR SERVICE RULES

  • No outside alcohol is permitted under any circumstances.

  • All alcohol must be purchased and served through Valessa Event Center.

  • Alcohol may only be served by Valessa’s licensed bartenders.

  • Valid government-issued ID is required for anyone consuming alcohol.

  • No alcohol will be served to visibly intoxicated guests.

  • No shots may be served after 10:00 PM.

  • Bar service may be stopped at management’s discretion for safety or compliance reasons.

DECOR & SETUP RULES

  • Outside décor vendors and event decorators are permitted.

  • The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Nails, screws, staples, or adhesives that damage walls

  • Confetti, glitter, rice, or loose decorative particles

  • Open flame candles (flameless candles only)

  • Balloon arches and backdrops are allowed with proper weights or stands.

  • All décor and personal items must be removed immediately at the conclusion of the event.

  • Any damage caused by décor, vendors, or guests will be deducted from the damage deposit

CLEANING & DAMGE RESPONSIBILITY

  • A $200 refundable damage deposit is required for all events.

  • Standard cleaning is included with each rental.

  • Excessive trash, spills, or damage will result in additional cleaning or repair fees.

  • The client is responsible for any damage caused by guests, vendors, or outside service providers.

  • All rented décor and equipment must be returned in original condition.

TIMING, SETUP & BREAKDOWN

  • Setup and breakdown time must be included within your rental hours unless otherwise approved.

  • Early access is not guaranteed unless officially added to the contract.

  • All vendors must arrive and depart within the scheduled event time.

  • All guests must exit the building promptly at the end of the rental period.

ENTERTAINMENT & MUSIC

  • DJs, speakers, and live entertainment are permitted.

  • Volume must remain at a reasonable level at all times.

  • Profanity, explicit lyrics, and inappropriate behavior must be appropriate for the type of event being hosted.

  • Valessa Event Center reserves the right to lower volume or discontinue music that violates policies.

SAFETY & LIABILITY

  • Valessa Event Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

  • The client assumes full responsibility for guest safety and behavior.

  • Any injuries, accidents, or incidents must be reported immediately to venue staff.

  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Emergency exits must remain clear at all times.

FINAL AUTHORITY

  • Valessa Event Center management holds final authority for:

  • Alcohol service decisions

  • Guest removal due to safety or behavior

  • Enforcement of all venue rules

  • Protection of property and staff

  • Failure to comply with any rules may result in:

  • Immediate event shutdown

  • Forfeiture of damage deposit

  • Additional fines or legal liability
